The high temperature difference between day and night encourages good maturity, good acidity and the aromatic structure. Grown at a low yield (30 hl/ ha) and harvested by hand at optimum maturity, Chardonnay and Narince grapes are processed with a gravity system (transfer of grapes by gravity, without any pumping equipment, thus causing no bruises). Being fermented in 225lt French oak barrels and with 8 months of aging on the lees (“élevage sur lies”), Côtes d’Avanos Narince-Chardonnay 2012 significantly reflects its terroir. This premium wine perfectly matches with saused or steamed fish, shellfish, pasta with white sauce and chicken. It is best when served at 9-10ºC.
