Quality and innovation are indispensable in our brands that we bring together with millions of consumers around the world. As a result of their long work at the Innovation Workshop in Izmir, our beer masters and engineers developed the +1 Resting Technique, which will redefine the quality standard of lager beers in Turkey and around the world.

With the +1 Resting Technique, we add a special stage to our production process. With this special step, which doubles the resting time of the malt in the brewing process, we ensure that the malt flavor is transferred to the beer more.

With this special technique that requires mastery, we are now producing our Efes brands in a longer time, patiently and gradually. Approved by VLB Berlin, one of the world's leading Beer Standards Institutes, the +1 Resting Technique is a candidate to be a new production technique used in beer literature.

Hope to meet you in +1 of your pleasure...

It is a type of beer made from buckwheat, which is more preferred especially for people with sensitive digestive systems. As you know, beer is made from barley and wheat. Grain products such as barley, wheat and rye contain gluten protein. Gluten protein may have an allergic reaction in some people, and these people generally form their nutritional preferences from gluten-free products. I think these are the main sales people because you can't go for Gluten Free beer at the same price when there are regular Efes blue and yellow malt beers. Buckwheat is a type of grain and its productivity is lower than normal wheat. Because of its low protein content, Efes preferred this type of wheat for brewing. Buckwheat does not contain gluten, it is a type of grain suitable for celiac patients and those with gluten allergies.

If we examine Efes Gluten Free beer as a taste; Because it contains buckwheat, it has a slightly bitter taste, but it is not very pronounced. The foam rate is quite good Efes has really succeeded in producing such a niche beer. I think it is one of the first beers to be released both as extra rested and gluten-free. Efes Gluten Free Lager beer is a light colored beer and its color is like glass yellow. Beer contains water, buckwheat malt, barley malt, Carared malt, hops and yeast. I researched what Carared malt was and found out that Weyermann CaraRed is a caramel malt produced from German two-row spring barley. It gives the beer a full malt flavor and a red color. The alcohol content in beer is 4% by volume and has a very low alcohol content.

Efes Gluten-Free Beer is sold in brown 50 CL bottles. Also there is no can version and I don't think you can find this beer anywhere. I saw it while walking around 5M Migros in Istanbul and bought it. If you ask my opinion, it is not a beer that I will buy and drink again since I am not allergic to gluten. Honestly, I wouldn't buy this again when Efes has better malt beers. In addition, buckwheat grain has added a different air to the beer, but you don't feel like drinking it as you drink it because it makes you choke after a certain drink because it is a slightly bitter beer with a different taste. If we think about celiac patients, then I can say that it is the best beer malt they can find.
